A celebrity endorsement is a great way to get people interested in your product and services. When it comes to diet plans, celebrity endorsements can be especially effective as dieters can actually watch their favorite celebrities shed those pounds making them feel inspired.

Over the years, there have been several celebrities that have endorsed diet plans. This article will look at some of the most famous and glamorous of the bunch.

Jessica Simpson

This singer, actress and fashion designer has been battling weight gain and was happy to share her story when she signed on as a Weight Watchers spokeswoman. Simpson recently announced that she shed 60 pounds of post baby weight. She celebrated her success by posting skinny photos on her Twitter page where she flaunted her new waistline.

Oprah Winfrey

Not only did Oprah Winfrey sign up as a spokesperson for Weight Watchers, she also purchased a 10% stake in the company before starting the program. Since signing on with the plan, she was able to lose 40 lbs. She claims it provided her with the easiest way to lose weight and that she never deprives herself of meals.

Kirstie Alley

Kirstie Alley signed on as a spokesperson for Jenny Craig in 2004 and was able to lose 75 lbs. In the following years, the actress was unable to keep off the pounds off and her weight spiraled back up. Fortunately, she got back on track and lost another 50 lbs. She claims that now she is feeling agile and energetic and she is committed to staying slim.

Valerie Bertinelli

Another actress to become a Jenny Craig spokesperson, Valerie Bertinelli joined on after publicly vowing to lose 30 lbs. in a People magazine cover story. She exceeded her goal by losing 40 lbs. and was ready to debut her bikini bod before her 49th birthday. Recently, Bertinelli added on a few pounds after a foot injury but she spoke publicly about the issue saying we need to remove the shame from gaining weight, especially when it’s tied to unavoidable events.

Marie Osmond

This famous member of the Osmond family is quite well known for her weight battle and her role as a spokesperson for NutriSystem. After starting the plan back in 2007, she was able to lose 46 lbs. in five months. Since then, she was able to maintain a healthy weight and reports that she is feeling fantastic.

Jennifer Hudson

This actress and American Idol finalist began her weight loss journey when she had to slim down for her role in the TV movie Winnie. The Weight Watchers spokeswoman was able to lose a total of 80 lbs. going from a size 16 to a size 4. She says she keeps a food diary rather than resorting to self-deprivation. She also sticks to a regular workout that includes circuit training, plyometrics and lifting weights.

DJ Khaled

Record producer DJ Khaled signed on as a Weight Watchers spokesperson and a social media brand ambassador in 2018. He made his commitment to a healthier lifestyle public by posting a video of himself with his son on Twitter and Instagram. Khaled explained that the journey was inspired by his son and his need to be great for him.

A diet plan celebrity endorsement can give dieters the inspiration they need to move forward on their journeys. These are examples of some of the most famous people who have made their weight loss goals public and signed on as spokespeople to support the cause.
